Mysuru: Federation members of the State Kutnataka Labor Workers on Friday demanded an increase in their remuneration.
Workers gathered near the Deputy Commissioner’s office and shouted slogans against the government.
The protesters said they could not survive with the payment they received to prepare midday food.
“We only get Rs 2,700 per month.
It is difficult to survive on this wage when the cost of all important items has skyrocketed.
So we demand a salary of Rs 21,000 per month,” they said.
The protesters also demanded that the government to strengthen their work, deposit RS 2 Lakh in their accounts and Rs 3,000 as retirement after retirement.
