Guwahati: Minister of Union Msme, Narayan Rane, on Friday placing a flat factory complex foundation in Patgaon in Rani.
The flat factory is a multi-floor building that is divided into small occupied units separately used for manufacturing, assembly and related storage.
Each floor will accommodate 12 industrial units and there will be provisions for lifts in the factory complex with a capacity of 2,500 kg.
The total cost of the project from the flat factory complex is Rs 21.96 Crore.
Assam Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (AIIDC) will be an executive agent.
Speaking on that occasion, Rane said, “This is the first factory complex that is flat in Assam which will allow many industrial units to operate in the minimum room.
The flat factory is the Indian government initiative to strengthen infrastructure for the growth of MSMEs in Assam.” The Union Minister added That MSMEs can produce employment opportunities that can overcome the problem of unemployment in the state.
He asked the industrialists to take advantage of the benefits of the MSME ministry scheme to regulate the unit, improve work, productivity, per capita income and contribute to the country’s GDP.
Calling at the beginning of the project settlement, Rane assured all support and commitment from the Ministry of the MSMEs for the relatively independent India (Atmanirbhar Bharat) as imagined by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
