Aizawl: The tension at the Mizoram-Assam border increased again after Assam police personnel were “arrested” an Ir Constable Mizoram on Friday night and took the last in the Assam District Hailakadi.
Mizoram police officials said Laldintluanga Ralte from the 1st Battalion of the Indian Reserve Police, which was placed at the Bairabi Police Station in Kolastic District, “arrested” by Police Assam while serving in Zophai.
OC from the Bairabi Police Station Lalinhlua said the police were charged under 120 (b) and 447 IPCs, but most likely it would be released by a local court in Hailakandi on a guarantee.
