Aizawl: After occupying the top slot between eight northeastern states for more than two months to report the highest number of new Covid-19 cases, Mizoram has risen to second place, under Assam.
In the last 24 hours, the state on Monday recorded 165 cases of everyday than Assam, which recorded 212 new cases.
With the number of dipping cases, the state starts the process of opening from Sunday and will be in place until November-end.
After a gap of nearly six months, schools reopened from Monday for 10th and 12th grade students, which will appear for the council exam.
This country contributed 32.54% of the total number of daily cases reported in the northeastern region, the lowest in the past two months.
But still contributed 61.31% of active cases in this region on Monday morning, according to the Ministry of Health and family welfare.
