Aizawl: Covid-19 cases in Mizoram continue to rise with countries that record the highest number of daily infections among eight northeastern countries for the last 21 days now.
While everyday case is around 1,000 a day for several days, the number of new cases on Sunday is 541, especially because there is no test carried out on Sunday at the RT-PCR Laboratory at Zoram Medical College (ZMC) near Aizawl.
Bulk sample test results are also not included.
The number of infected people rose to 71,381 on Monday while there were 59,060 recovered, making the lowest recovery level in the northeast at 82.74% as on the national average of 97.51%.
The level of participants in the state on Monday is 31.02% rejan to the national daily pepititification level of 2.26%.
The number of active cases was 12,080 (16.92%) on Monday with total deaths at 241 (0.34% of the number of infected people).
Spike without stopping in the case of Covid-19 since the emergence of the second wave of pandemic in the state has made the government worry.
