Aizawl: Minister of Home Mizoram Lalchamliana on Friday said he had given instructions to Deputy Commissioner of Clastic and Mamit to continue the development work in the border region each along the border region.

Lalrozama, Deputy Commissioner of Kabupaten and Mamit, on Wednesday, because the Government of Assam neighbor continued his work along the border region,” he said.
He expressed an opinion that finding a peaceful solution for irritating interstate limit disputes through negotiations between Mizoram and Assam at important political levels for the two countries.
Earlier on Monday, the State House Department issued instructions requested deputy commissioners from two districts to ‘maintain the status quo’.
The letter was sent to DCS by Lalthangliana, Secretary of Deputy OSD-Deputy, the State House Department asked the former to maintain the status quo in his jurisdiction and to ‘refrain from carrying out construction activities without shared consultation.’ The letter said that the instructions were issued following the direction of the Interior Ministry on November 5 requesting the maintenance of the status quo throughout the border region disputed in their jurisdiction and to refrain from carrying out construction activities without joint consultation.
The minister at home previously said that he had not received instructions from the Ministry of Home Affairs and that he had no knowledge of the instructions given by the State House department to the deputy commissioner and he would take appropriate action after the letters.
He said that he instructed the deputy commissioner to continue the work of development after officially receiving the letters.
The border disputes and tensions along the border region of Mizoram-Assam have reached a boiling point several times because both neighboring countries still fail to find a lasting solution to the IMBroglio border boiling for decades.
