MANGALURU: Associates of Mangaluru city company (MCC) on Wednesday finished the demolition of the older central market here to the building of a new construction below the Smart City project. The structure had been forged using excavators with police help. Authorities have put up barricades in and about the old marketplace for its job. The MCC council had previously passed a resolution to clean the old central exchange construction along with a proposition under the Smart City job was delivered into the state authorities that was stayed by court, MCC commissioner Akshay Sridhar told colleagues. The MCC received acceptance in the HC and the demolition started early Wednesday. The region in the center of the town will then be passed over to the officers of the Smart City project. The building of this new construction begins after clearing the debris,” he explained.
