Mysuru: Hundreds of foreign nationals studying in college and pursuing postgraduate courses have been affixed to the first dose of Covid vaccine in MySuru.
The government recently allowed foreign nationals to live in India to register on the Cowin Portal to take the Covid vaccine.
They are advised to use their passports as identity documents for registration purposes to get slots for vaccination.
However, almost every foreign student here has been vaccinated.
When a single dose vaccination is needed for students to attend the physical class from July, foreign students from China, Afghanistan, Iran and African countries pursue courses including their laws have received their Jab.
Education and health authorities use their SIM and passports as proof along with each university identity card.
If anyone comes out of the drive or has not been taken, the authorities are ready to stab it according to government direction.
The University of Mysore Deputy Chancellor G Hemantha Kumar said the university has more than 800 foreign students including from its constituent colleges.
Among them almost 100 pursued postgraduate courses.
Since vaccination is a must for students, even students from foreign nationals have been immunized against Covid.
Almost every student has been inoculated during a special drive conducted by the university.
The Chief Executive of the Legal Law JSS KS Suresh is too confirming TII they have nearly 50 foreign students and almost everyone is immunized.
District Health Officers Dr KH Prasad said almost every foreign student was immunized during the drivers of inoculation held for students before the physical class began.
Now foreign nationals in MySuru can take vaccines using passports.
