Chandigarh: Even as the threat of omicron variants from Covid 19 up, Mukormycosis returns to Haryana.
According to the State Health Authority, 18 Musicycosis patients were medium in care at PT Bhagwat Dayal Pgims Rohtak.
Of these, 16 came from Rohtak and its surroundings, while two came from NCR.
So far, there are no deaths reported from deadly diseases in recent weeks.
“The majority of these patients have comorbidities.
There are cases where patients have hid or do not know about being diabetes during the treatment of Delta Covid variants.
The patients responded to treatment and PGIM had sufficient arrangements,” said a senior official in the Department of Medical Education Haryana ( Mer).
Until December 8, Rohtak has registered 500 cases.
Overall, Haryana has reported around 1,793 cases of mukormycosis and 274 deaths so far.
The state has faced threats from Covid and the disease transmitted through vectors (VBD) since September.
With a count of the intersection of 11,831, Haryana has surpassed a six-year-old dengue record.
In 2015, Haryana had seen 9,921 cases and 13 deaths.
“Our main encouragement is in testing.
We have booked for RPCR to Dengue and Covid for complete diagnostic purposes.
At the same time Covid patients who were injected were given awareness about the symptoms of mucor, too,” said a health department official.
