Chandigarh: With an average of more than three deaths a day, Mukormycosis has submitted another challenge for medical colleges and hospitals throughout the state.
Until Friday, the state had reported 1,619 cases and 194 deaths so far from 18 countries.
Gurgaon, Hisar and Rohtak occupied three slots with a quality of 45.42 and 36.
The three districts received a maximum Mucor case with Rohtak topping tables with 410 cases followed by 380 in Hisar and 326 in Gurgaon.
Faridabad reported 143 cases and 18 deaths were followed by Karnal with 118 cases and 14 deaths so far.
While Panipat reported 73 cases and 10 deaths, SANSA 53 cases of nine deaths, Noah 51 cases and five deaths.
The rest of the district has reported 13 or less cases and deaths.
“It’s only because of timely and fast care and the availability of easy drugs and infrastructure that still has a shortage of death.
Most deaths are those who have comorbidities,” said a faculty at the Postgraduate Medical Institute in Rohtak.
Mucor cases Has begun to come in Sirsa Hospital, Gurgaon and Hisar since the first week of May.
