With the school which opened back for the primary part, the government has launched a health checking camp at educational institutions to ensure they capture the plague, if there is an earlier.
Office Deputy Director, Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) and Rashtriya Kishor Swathsya Karyakram (RKSK), Bengaluru, has instructed health workers in all districts to test children with flu symptoms for Covid-19.
Students’ parents must be informed before testing the RT-PCR.
The department has suggested testing at least 10% of students and upload test results on the portal.
RBSK Mobile Health Team will conduct a General Health Camp for students from grade 1 to 12.
Dr.
Veena, Deputy Director, National Children’s Health and Youth Program (RBSK / RKSK), Directorate of Health and Family Welfare Services, said these safety measures had already taken place in most schools.
“This is part of the National Health Program,” he said.
Dr.
MS Jayanth, Reproductive Child Health Officers, Mysuru, confirmed direction, said: “The team involved in checking the health of students in schools is testing them with symptoms of diseases such as influenza, acute respiratory disease and severe fever for covid.” Ramachandra Raje Urs, Deputy Director of Public Instruction, Mysuru, said as many as 4.2 Lakh school students were registered in government schools in all districts.
“The head of all schools has been instructed to keep the health tab of each student attending classes on campus,” Urs said.
“The teacher has truly been told to enforce the right behavior to maintain infection in the bay.
The faculty has been instructed to support health staff visiting campus to filter out the health of children and do tests.”
