MYSURU: Over 85% of the targeted population in KR Nagar taluk in Mysuru district have now been administered the first dose of the vaccine to protect against Covid-19.
It is the highest rate of vaccination in the district and in the state.
Even, when it comes to the second dose, Mysuru taluk tops the list with 30.2% vaccination.
Meanwhile, Mysuru retained its number one position in the vaccination drive in the state.
According to data available till Sunday evening, 85.4% of the targeted population in KR Nagar taluk of the district have been administered the first dose of the vaccine.
The targeted population for vaccination in this taluk is 69,738.
Among them, 59,567 people were administered the first dose.
Mysuru Rural is second, with 78.7% of the targeted population being vaccinated.
In Mysuru Urban 67.3% of the targeted population were administered the first dose of the vaccine, while 30.2% received the second dose.
According to the state Covid-19 bulletin, till 5pm on Sunday, 9,42,712 vaccine doses were administered in the district, which is the highest in the state.
Dr L Ravi, district vaccination officer, attributed the success of the highest vaccination coverage, to the team efforts.
