Guwahati: a cum-cum-cum-cum smuggler was injured in a temporary police shooting allegedly trying to escape police detainees in the lower Dhubri District Assam, bordering Bangladesh, in the early hours.
The person has been identified as Sahidur Rahman aka Sahidur Ali.
He underwent treatment at the Dhubri civil hospital and according to the police, he was stable until Sunday night.
Dhubri Police Inspector Gaurav Abhijit Dilip said, “Based on the defendant’s statement, the police team had taken him to a village to recover the consignment of the drug that was continuously hidden.
