Chandigarh: More than vaccine protection, community health experts feel this is natural antibodies after covid infection that has protected city residents.
“More than just a Covid case, which for several days, we get a case of investment in health care workers.
Most of them have been inoculated,” said public health experts.
The UT health department has also requested unification of the Ministry of Health and family welfare to improve differences in the number of total beneficiaries in the city.
“We have rang this Union Health Secretary recently.
The same thing will be pursued because we inched close to 100% coverage,” said Director Utah, Dr.
Amandeep Kang’s health services.
Although vaccination drives have massively cover all populations in the city, public health workers feel protection has become a natural exposure to the virus.
“Children have not been pasted and we have seen more than 65% have reached antibodies against viruses.
This shows that even though it is not vaccinated, natural antibodies have become protection,” public health workers said.
With vaccination and exposure to viruses, most of the city’s population has developed antibodies against viruses.
The weekly peposititivity level in the city has been recorded at 0.21% while the test per million per day stands at 1.170, which is more than the national average of 1102.7.
According to Dr.
Rijo John, Professor Adjunct, Rajagiri College of Social Sciences, Kochi, the growth of the weekly average daily case in the city was 0.01% while the national average was 0.12%.
Also, the weekly leading level in Chandigarh is equivalent to Punjab, where the rate is 0.2%.
