Chandigarh: The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has issued a notice, looking for a reply from the Government of Haryana and the National Disaster Response (NDRF) after taking the recognition of Suo Motu to media reports that 4-5 men were feared buried as three buildings -storyed collapsed in Khawaspur In the Gurgon District Haryana on July 18.
Teams of NDRF and local administration are present at the place when rescue operations are being carried out.
The Commission has issued a notification to the Secretary of the Head Haryana, called for detailed reports in this issue, including this status of the incident, the number of victims confirmed and the health status of injured people.
The Commission also searched for a copy of the request report ordered by Deputy Commissioner, Gurgaon, in the incident together with detailed reports.
The Commission also called for reports from the Director General, Force National Disaster Relief, regarding the status of rescue operations and the number of victims.
Responses from both authorities expected within four weeks.
