Guwahati: Delhi-based lawyers from Assam have submitted a complaint with the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) against the Assam police for a series of meetings that have occurred since the Himanta government Buswa Sarma-LED took over two months ago.

In his complaint, Jwadder mentioned 10 meeting cases that occurred between May 23 and July 10 where the alleged criminals were killed or injured when they “tried to escape the police detention” at times after trying to win firearms from the police.
