Mangaluru: Following the Government Unlock Guidelines, the Temple of Kukke Sri Subrahmanya in Dakshina Kannada Regency will be open to worshipers only for Darshan and Mangalarati Seve.
While the temple will be reopened on Monday, Mangalarati will be offered once in 15 minutes.
The worshipers will not be allowed to offer Sarpa Samskara, Ashlesha Bali and other Seve, said President Temple Mohanram Sullram Management Committee.
The temple with the highest collection of income in Karnataka, was closed because the worshipers were due to locking from April 21.
With the district witnessing the fall in the number of Covid-19 and following the Government Guidelines, the Temple Committee has decided to open the temple, he said.
“Sarpa Samskara, Ashlesha Bali and other SEVE will not be permitted until further orders from the government.
The worshipers are allowed to enter the temple between 7am and 11:30; 12.15 pm and 1.30pm and start at 6:30 to 6:30.
While the mangalarati will Done once in 15 minutes, worshipers will not be given prasadas including theertha, sandal pasta, Bhojana Prasada (food), Panchakajjaya and Laddu.
Similarly, they will not be allowed to live in a guest house from the temple, “he said.
Wearing a mask, keeping social distance, undergoing thermal scanning and using cleaners will be mandatory for all worshipers before entering the temple, he said.
“The worshipers will not be allowed to enter the temple if they have fever, cough and cold,” he said.
Ningaiiah Temple Executive Officer said that worshipers would be allowed to enter through Rajagopura.
All other entry points will be closed and there will be a separate exit door for worshipers out.
The worshipers must follow signs inside the temple place to maintain social distance.
All such settings will be made in the Temple of Adi Subrahmanya too, he added.
