Chandigarh: Now, motor vehicle owners must submit their tax online because the Haryana government has decided to cover all 10 points of tax collection points established in the state to deposit motor vehicle tax.
A official spokesperson on Friday that the Department of Transportation has set points of tax collections in 10 countries under the Section 3 Haryana Motorcycle Tax Act Haryana, 2016, which was notified on September 19, 2016 for motor vehicle tax collection from vehicle owners.
This tax collection point was established in Gurugram Regency, Faridabad, Rewari, Jhajjar, Bhiwani, Sirsa, Jind, Panchkula, Ambala and Sonipat.
In addition, vehicle owners are also given options to send their tax online.
A spokesman said that it was now decided to close all 10 of these tax collection points.
Vehicle owners can store their tax online.
For this, detailed guidelines have been given to all DTO RTAs from the country so that they can motivate and disseminate awareness among vehicle owners for online tax filing.
He said that the commissioner of Transport Haryana has directed all RTA-cum-cum-cum to close the tax collection points established in the area concerned and ensure that the vehicle owner deposits motor vehicle tax online.
