Chandigarh: In protest against De-Linking Non-Practicipation Allowances (NPA) of basic salary, Government Doctors – Veterinary, Medical, Dental, Ayurvedic and Rural Officers – Official OPD Boy for Second Day in a row and organize parallel opds outside the house Government pain.
More than 10,000 patients were examined in the OPD managed by this doctor.
In this OPD, all patients are offered free care and free drugs and tests.
The cost of tests and drugs is borne by the doctor’s association.
The Punjab Civil Medical Services Association has asked its units throughout the state to buy large amounts of drugs and offer it for free to patients.
Senior Vice President of the PCMS Association Dr.
Gagandeep Shergill said that the parallel model of the health care system exhibited by doctors made it proved that people needed a strong public health care system, but the government was very bent to destroy the same thing.
He said that parallel OPD received a massive response from the public.
He said that the official OPD boycott would continue until the government received their request.
Sharing the wise break-up of the district, Dr.
Shergill said that as many as 1,165 patients were examined in Mohali, 987 in Bathinda, 786 in Ludhiana, 615 in Hoshiarpur, 527 in Fatehgarh Sahib, 430 in Gurdara, 427 in Patiala, 425 in Mansa, 381 in Sangrur, 344 in Muktsar, 327 in Faridkot and 323 in Ferozepur.
Government doctors are in Loggerhead with the state government of the upper decision not to treat non-practicing benefits (NPA) as pay or empty for other purposes.
Allowances have been set at a level of 20% of basic payments.
The Punjab government has begun to pay NPA from 2011 at a rate of 25% of the basic payment of the pattern of the central government with the aim of maintaining doctors in government services and to stop the medical professional exodus of the country.
