Bathinda: From the politics of farmers Sanyukt Samaj Morcha (SSM) took into the politics of elections, contradictions between various groups continued to play spoilers.
A day before the meeting called by 32 agricultural groups to simplify various problems including resolving disputes about the suspension of agricultural groups in SSM from Sanyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) for four months, groups led by Hardev Singh Sandhu from Kirti Kisan Union and Baldev Singh Zira From the Krantikari Union Punjab, alleged level against BKU EKTA Dakaunda and Kirti Kisan (Dhudike) about the participation of agricultural groups in elections.
Sandhu wants these two farm groups to clean their stands.
Denied the allegations of Sandhu, Vice President Kirti Kisan Rajinder Deep Singh Wala said the meeting of 32 agricultural organizations had been called in Mullanpur on Sunday to find a way to resolve the crisis after the suspension of trade unions in SSM.
We want SKM to remain intact because some leaders also indirectly take part in election exercises or wisely supporting political parties.
BKU ETTA Dakaunda Vice President Manjit Singh Dhaner said the purpose of calling a meeting in Mullanpur on January 30 was remaining united and keeping SKM stay alive.
“There are no problems supporting any groups that take part in the election but some groups want SKM to be destroyed,” he said.
SKM, at his meeting on January 25, has distanced from SSM and has directed its constituents not to take part in SKM activities for four months.
Sanyukt Samaj Morcha at a press conference at Chandigarh on Saturday refused to comment on agricultural groups who opposed the piles of elections and said they were very much from SKM and all SSM candidates would follow the call given by SKM January 31 as a day of betrayal.
