By: Poviet Kaur Chandigarh: Panjab University will be a collaborator in the Tigr2ess project, with a team of 15 faculty members in various departments led by Prof.
Ramanjit Kaur Johal.
The department includes public administration, economics, university business schools, applied management University Institutes, University Institute of Technology and Vocational Development, University Management University Institutes and School of Communication Studies.
Tigr2ess is a research program led by Cambridge University with more than 20 organizations and more than 30 initial career researchers work to find advanced sustainable ways to Indian agriculture through involvement with rural communities, women’s empowerment and empowerment translations.
Their research identified practical solutions to overcome problems such as thinning groundwater, reducing plant resistance, inadequate nutrients, and limited market opportunities for small farmers.
Prof.
Johal said, “There were a dozen initial career researchers about the project and we were involved in the study of participatory actions in the Punjab countryside towards the empowerment of youth and women through the development of skills and entrepreneurship and empowerment through nutritional awareness and practice.
This project will last until March 2022.
