Chandigarh: Chairman of the Minister of Punjab Amarinder Singh on Wednesday announced the neglect of RS 590 Crore loans under the scheme of neglecting agricultural debt for workers and farmers who did not have land.
The check will be issued on the state-level function on August 20, the official spokesman after the meeting was held on Tuesday.
The Punjab government will pay off a loan with the song RS 590 Crore 2.85,325 Members of the Main Agricultural Cooperative Society (PACS), thus ensuring RS 20,000 assistance per member, said the minister’s chief.
He directs the Ministry of Finance and cooperation to begin the process for effective decision implementation in the field.
Loan neglect for land agricultural workers is also one of the 18 public welfare schemes submitted by the AICC panel of three members to the minister’s chairman during his meeting last month.
The Punjab government has formulated debt aid schemes for farm laborers and PACS-2019 agriculture members who do not have land, which will only include consumption loans to members of PAC which are stated by the Central Regency of Banks Cooperatives in the State of PACS.

So far, loans worth 4,624 crore have been released for as many as 5.64 lakh farmers under the scheme, which was announced as part of the promise of 2017 promised by Punjab Congress, spokesman said.
