Bathinda: Although the Indian election election commission has raised objections to the application of the Farmer Political Front Sanyukt Samaj Morcha (SSM) for registration as a political party, SSM has released a list of the fourth 35 candidates.
SSM has so far announced 81 candidates while Mitra Alique Sanyukt Sangharsh Party (SSP) has announced 9 candidates, taking combined numbers to 90 candidates.
“ECI has objected to the SSM application for registration as a political party to oppose the assembly selection of February 20 in Punjab.
Objection is thin like a signature of some people, there is no seal on the application and a small one.
It seems that tactics delay to stop SSM from fighting as party.
We strive to overcome objections but if ECI is not satisfied and SSM is not registered as a party before the symbol announcement, we will demand a general symbol for SSM candidates, “said Prem Singh Bhangu’s front legal advisor, who fought with SSM tickets from the Ghanour assembly segment in the District Patiala.
