Chandigarh: Minister of Punjab Minister Charanjit Singh Channi on Friday said the central decision to revoke three agricultural laws as “a very delayed step but welcome”, added that having Prime Minister Narendra Modi was decided before, many lives could be saved.
He claimed to have won over PM at a meeting in the last office to retrieve this law.
Blame the center “offer” the agricultural law in farmers without bringing them confidence, Channi said: “The central government led by BJP must recognize in the record to make the Himalaya mistake in carrying this bill and then not roaming for more than years.” CM said incidents such as lakhimpur that occurred during the struggle was a robbery on a fair name of democracy, because people would never forgive BJP.
He said that now PM has revoked agricultural laws, he must compensate for farmers “for the loss of lives” and the country “to lose property”.
He said Punjab in his share had given a family affected by work and each Rs 5 Lakh.
He asked PM to announce a similar financial package to relieve farmers and farm workers who were debated, in addition to determining the stand at the minimum support price and public procurement of plants.
Describing it as the victory of the people, Channi said the farmers had faced many difficulties, including weather oddities, to demean the Perkasa Union government who tried their best to “harass, motivate, and demott” them.
He said: “But the farmers follow in the footsteps of great Gurus, who taught us to fight injustice, oppression and tyranny, and they continue their struggle.” He said the results of this struggle would be “written in gold words in history”.
Channi said: “It took more than a year to bring the fall of the mode of the mod to arrogant Say will face public wrath.
Channi claimed that CM CM Captain Amarinder Singh was part of this Nexus to “weaken farmer agitation” but in the end, “Good has won over evil”.
Channi said the government had opposed this law from the first day and, in the last special session of Punjab Vidhan Sabha, which was called even to revoke the 2013 contract agricultural action imposed by the Government of BJP alliance-then led by Parkash Singh Badal.
