Chandigarh: Corporation Municipal (MC) has prepared a new sellout plan of the new seller zone to reciminate 1,100 street vendors registered by diverting them from existing sites commercially.
The Civic Agency Engineering Department will now survey this new site to build the seller zone and provide basic facilities.
The new vending zone has been identified in the sector 19, 20, 24, 41, 45 and 52, Darbar Ram, Manimajra and Mauli Jagran.
From this area, the maximum vendor will be resettled at Darbar Ram, Manimajra and Mauli Jagran.
All of these areas are filled with thick.
“UT UT Urban Planning Department has completed 15 new sites.
The zone has been identified after a physical visit from senior MC and UT officials.
Vendors and board members have asked the authorities to share sites where the vendor business can be run in the right way and they are not located In an isolated place.
