Guwahati: The Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) has traced a boy in their territory, who may be 17-year-old Miram Taron, was reportedly captured by PLA somewhere near the LAC in the district of the top of Tuesday.
PLA has contacted their Indian partners, ensuring that they have found a boy.
However, it has not been confirmed whether he is Miram Taron, the “kidnapping” has created a massive bloom in national politics ahead of the Republican Day celebration.
“PLA has confirmed to their colleagues that they have found a boy, who comes from the Indian side,” Pro defense based in Tezpur, Lt of Col Harshvardhan Pandey, told TI on Sundays.
Although the Indian army department or Union defense did not officially silence detail, the sources in the army said the handover would take time according to the protocol.
“On the Arunachal (Indian) side of the LAC, there is no information from others from India who are missing or captured by PLA lately.
This boy, traced by PLA, definitely Miram Taron,” the source added.
Previously, Arunachal Minister Pradesh Pema Khandu said the Ministry of Defense activated diplomatic channels with China to find and return taron.
Pro Defense, Tezpur (Assam / Arunachal Pradesh), was confirmed through his official Twitter handle on January 20 that PLA was contacted through the hotline to return Taron.
