Police Assam arrested 242 ‘unauthorized pine writers after CM Rap

Guwahati: Police Assam arrested as many as 242 “pine writers” that were illegal from outside the police station across the country until Sunday starting from Saturday night.

“According to a report, 37 of these people were arrested in Kecatrupup District followed by the destination (13), Bongaigaon (12), Nagaon (12), Guwahati (8), and from other districts.
This number is expected to increase because the operation is still ongoing.
Last year on November 4, CM has said that “brokers” in the system must be arrested to cleanse the system and direct officers – responsible for all police stations throughout the state to arrest unauthorized people who roam around the police station to write fire and complaints.
He also said such people who were not authorized were seen in all police stations and they imposed money to write pine copies that could be “never received”.
In September last year, police Assam arrested more than 500 land brokers carried out throughout the state as part of the government’s hard action led by BJP in brokers operating in land income and circle offices.
