Chandigarh: In a big assistance to the former Punjab DGP Sumedh Singh Saini, Punjab and Haryana High Court on Friday ordered the “clear stay” in his arrest in all cases delayed or tended to be registered by the Punjab police until the State Assembly selection.
In a large setback for the Punjab government, the High Court also ordered a complete stay about any investigation on all the pending fires against him.
“Given that it became a case of extraordinary circumstances and difficulties caused by the Petitioner by the Punjab state (on political land), there would be a clear stay for the arrest of the Petitioner in all cases delayed or tended to be registered or registered or where he tried to be involved in the help of parts 120-B IPC except FIR 77 (Multani Murder Case), where this problem is waiting before the Supreme Court, until the general election in the state of the Punjab will be due in February 2022 and so on …
there will be a clear stay for Further investigations in all shots delayed to him, “HC command on Friday.
Justice Arvind Singh Sangwan passed the order after hearing the petition submitted by Saini who was looking for instructions to submit any investigation that was registered with it to the CBI or to other independent agents outside of Punjab.
Saini understands he will be involved in a criminal case because of the smoke, mala fence and a hidden motive on the side of political parties in power in Punjab.
Saini also urged HC to keep any proposals to arrest it, in any criminal case, in delay for a certain period, allowing it to seek legal assistance.
His advice has also submitted that the polls of the Punjab Assembly will likely be held in February 2022 and the state government can adopt all illegal methods to capture the former police chief by involving it in recurring cases.
Advice The Punjab government proposes that the scope of the part 482 CRPC cannot be expanded to give a blanket guarantee order to someone, except in the case where special circumstances are made.
This problem has now been repaired for December 13 for the next hearing.
