Dibrugarh: Police Dibrugarh on Saturday damaging the fake aadhar card racket in Kalibari Road in the area of the field of Paltan Bazar.
The defendant, identified as Khalil Rahman, has run an invalid Aadhar card registration center, which is located in the center of Anganbadi, and is used to collect Rs 350 to RS 450 of each applicant.
Over the past few months, the center has been operating every day starting at 18:00 to 10:00.
The defendant used to collect the amount of money in advance of the applicants, but failed to give them their Aadhar card.
Based on public complaints, the police team was led by OC Bulalam Terong, City Sub-Inspector Arjun Singh and Borbari Outpost Police collectible Hemanta Sharma conducted a raid, but appeared short when the defendant managed to slip before their arrival.
Assistant Commissioner Jyotikona Chetia, who visited the place to inquire the issue, saying, “We have received a complaint and initiated an investigation.
The district administration will be the lodge and we will take measures as to the perpetrator.” Deputy Commissioner Pallav Gopal JHA stated that he had initiated Investigation and will take strict action against the defendant.
Police supervisor Shwetank Mishra also said that the police would take strict action against the defendant.
