Chandigarh / Patiala: AAAM AADMI Party (AAP) Head of Pick Bhagwant Mann will oppose the assembly selection of the Dhuri constituency from Sangrur Regency.
Although it will be a safe bet for Mann, the party hopes to use its influence in the Malwa region, which has 69 seats and provides most of the seats in the last election.
The announcement was made by AAP co-incharge from Punjab BIDS Raghav Chadha on Thursday.
Chadha said Dhuri was chosen for Mann because the people there had chosen him during the Sabha poll in 2014 and 2019 and it was part of the party’s “political strategy”.
Asked whether Mann wanted the contest from ‘Safe Chair’, Chadha said the entire Punjab loved Mann and the party did not want to limit his time and energy to a single chair because he would campaign in the Majha area, Doaba and Malwa.
“AAP wants to effectively use Mann’s time throughout the state.
Mann will win if he is contested from one of the 117 seats in the state.
Dhuri people want him to represent the area,” he said.
Mann represents the sangrur at Lok Sabha and Dhuri is part of the constituency of the Sangrur Parliament.
Congress has won seats in the last two elections of assembly, in 2012 and 2017.
However, Mann has led in this segment during the General Election in 2014 and 2019.
Candidates AAP in the last election of Jassi Singh Jassi Sekshon, who was defeated by Dalvir Singh Goldy from Congress by narrow margin of 2,811 sound.
Chadha said AAP would be the only party to oppose the election by naming his CM’s face.
“Congress, in any case, was unable to mention one leader,” he said.
Punjab was looking for change, after trying Congress and Akali Dal, and the countries wanted to give AP Supremo Arvind KeRriwal and Bhagwant Mann the opportunity, he added.
Reacting to the announcement on his official Facebook page, Mann said he was happy that he would oppose the election of Dhuri.
Kejriwal has announced Mann as the face of CM party on January 18, after the drive ‘Janta Chunegi Apna CM’ was stated.
Meanwhile, the opponent Mann has increased their campaign.
Former Sangrur Mla (2012) Prakash Chand Garg compete sadly (b) tickets from Dhuri this time, while the Congress has deployed sitting MLA Dalvir Singh Goldy and Sanyukt Samaj Morcha has Sarabjit Singh in a poll.
“I have campaigned together with my family member.
Mann is an outsider and fails to develop in his adoptive village Benra in the Dhuri constituency.
He can’t even do any work for his native village Satuuj.
Even sad (b) candidates are outsiders,” Goldy said.
SSM Sarabjit, which is a former Sarpanch of Alal Village, said, “Mann is a habit drinker and unable to take a punjab from any crisis because he does not have a vision for the country and farmer.
He is a comedian of a thinker who can make the country’s progress.” Protests outside the AAP office in Mohali for the Releasea Bhullar protesters group, waved a black flag, gathered outside the AAP office in Mohali because Raghav Chadha held a press conference.
Protesters demanded the exemption of Devinder Pal Singh Bhullar.
Local police must come and help Chadha leave the venue.

The president of the State Youth of Jaswinder Sign of Singh Rajpura accused Delhi CM Arvind Kajriwal from refusing the release of Bhullar four times even though the President fed up.
