Chandigarh: Led by State President Bhagwant Mann, the leader of the AAM AADMI Party (AAP) faced a water cannon and was detained by the police because they held a protest outside the Minister of Amarinder Singh on Saturday on the issue of power outages in the state.
AAP leaders and workers tried to Gherao Agricultural House and were sued by the police, using water cannons on them.
Many of them managed to break through the police barricade.
Mann, opposition leader (LOP) Harpal Singh Cheema and other AAP office carriers were sent to various police stations.
According to Mohali police, 23 people were ordered by name, besides 200 unidentified people, by Mohali police on the protest.
Four Party Mlaas – Barnala Mla Meet Hayer, Nihalsinghwa Mla Manjeet Singh Bilalaspur, Mehlkalan Mla Kulwant Singh Pandori and Jitu Mla Master Baldev Singh, is among those who are ordered, regardless of Mann and Cheema.
Mann said, “We have gone to express the sadness of the Punjab people to the Chief Minister of Captain Amarinder Singh.
In Punjab, consumers pay the most expensive electricity in the country at Rs 10 per unit; but people still have not received electricity.
Instead, they are have to leave their home in hot heat and rice sow in the fields and hold the Dharnas on the road.
“Mann alleged that the Punjab people suffered the consequences of collusion between Akalis and Congress, because during the Governor of the Akali, the Badal family signed” the deadly offer “with the company -Company private power and now the Congress government has implemented this offer.
