Shimla: President of Ram Nath Kovind arrived at Shimla on a four-day visit on Thursday’s day.
He will discuss a special session of the State Assembly on Friday to commemorate the 50th year of the uniqueness of Himachal Pradesh.
He will attend the Valedictory ceremony from Indian Audit and account services at the National Academy of Audit and Account, Shimla, as the guest head on Saturdays.
Kovind, who lives in a private hotel as a number of retreat employees, the president’s residence in Chharabra on the outskirts of Shimla, has been tested positive for Covid-19, is the third president after APJ Abdul Kalam and Pranab Mukherjee to overcome the state of the assembly special session.
Kalam has discussed a special assembly session on December 23, 2004, and Mukherjee on May 24, 2013.
As part of its security settings, vehicle traffic has been restricted from Kennedy Chowk to Boileuganj through Chaura Maidan from September 16-19.
Only these drivers show evidence of their residence will be allowed on this route.
Kovind was accepted by a party at Annadale Helipad by Governor of Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, Chairman of the Minister of Jai Ram Thakur, Assembly Vipin Singh Parmar, Minister of Parliament Suresh Bhardwaj, Shimla Mayor of Satya Kundal, Army Commander LT Gen (ARTRAC) Raj Shukla, Head of Secretary of RAM Subhag Singh and DGP Sanjay Kundu is among others.
