MOHALI: Authorities have arrested three individuals after 72 bottles of illicit liquor were supposedly recovered from their automobile at Zirakpur on Sunday.
The accused will be Sagar Sharma of Panipat, Rahul Grover of Hisar and Gaurav Batra of Tohana.
Police recovered 23 bottles of Mac Dual whiskey, 22 bottles of Johnny Walker Black Label,12 bottles of Blenders Pride, seven bottles of Imperial Blue, eight bottles of country-made spirits available in Chandigarh just.
SP (rural) Ravjot Kaur Grewal said authorities obtained a tip-off which Sharma that drives a cab in Chandigarh and Haryana was going to promote the illegal liquor outside a resort at Singhpura Chowk.
A police party raided the website and arrested the accused.
The spirits bottles were concealed in a Hyundai Xcent automobile.
Authorities said the three were at the liquor smuggling industry for a little while, Cops said they’re looking for out from where the accused had the spirits.
