Chandigarh: citing an increase in the Covid situation, Minister of Punjab Minister Chararjit Singh Channi on Wednesday ordered relaxation within the limits of 150 to 300 in Indoor and 500 at the State of Outdoors in the state.
However, he said that the limitation of the Covid protocol would be obeyed strictly regardless of this relaxation.
When reviewing the position of Covid in the state, Channi asked the school education department to encourage students to attend classes by following the health protocol needed.
Likewise, he also asked the Social Security Department to reopen the Temporary Handwari centers in the norm.
Expressing satisfaction of a decrease in the level of prospitis, Channi requested the health department to ensure strict compliance with the Covid safety protocol, including wearing masks and social distance.
He directs the Ministry of Health to increase testing capacity of up to 50,000 per day as a preventive measure given the upcoming celebration season.
