Chandigarh: Punjab school instruction and general public works minister Vijay Inder Singla declared the ideal government colleges for semester 2020-21 on based on complete grading.
Singla said the standing of colleges has been separated into three classes — center, high and senior secondary.
Top performing schools from each district will be provided a benefit of Rs 5 lakh, 7.5 lakh and 10 lakh, respectively,” he explained.
The cabinet minister stated that grading was performed on the grounds of outcomes, infrastructure, and co-curricular actions, participation of school management committees and people and presence of pupils.
He stated the award money was divided evenly among universities in which over one got equivalent marks in positions from the districts.
Singla said that the Punjab government has always been working to enhance the quality of instruction at government schools.
He added that using constant dedicated campaigns, results were observable in the kind of progress in outcomes, growth in enrolments, infrastructural growth and availability of teaching personnel.
The ministry added that general grading of universities may also help improve quality of education at the government schools since it gives an equivalent platform for principals and teachers for a wholesome competition.
