Chandigarh: Punjab government on Monday appointed Tarun Lehal Vir Singh, Deputy Vice Minister Punjab law Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, as Additional Advocate General.
Additionally AG, Lehal will represent the Punjab government as a legal officer in the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
Lehal has been appointed by the General Advocates invoke the provisions of Section 7 (4) of the Punjab Law Officers (Engagement) ACT 2017 provides removal of judicial officers in the state on the recommendation of the selection committee.
It also means that the Advocate-General A P S Deol has run a particular power to appoint in-law as an additional Randhawa AG.
Besides Lehal, AG has appointed advocate Mukesh Chander Berry as AAG.
