Chandigarh: Haryana Polda has captured Punjab-based drug smugglers after it seized 400 GM slapping from his ownership in Jind District.
Sharing information, spokesman Haryana Police told the defendant who was arrested was a drug smuggler who was famous for 9 NDPS cases, robbery, arm and kidnapping registered in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
The defendant has been identified as Pritam RAM aka Jhamkka, a resident of Patran Tehsil in Patiala District.
The estimated cost of smack confiscated by almost Rs 20 lakh.
Previously, two separate cases in the NDPS law had been registered in it in Punjab and Rajasthan after the recovery of 527 kg of Chura Pos from his ownership.
After getting a secret input, the defendant was arrested by the crime investigation team in Naka near Dhamtan Sahib Bus Adda when he came from the punjab to supply contraband goods.
Primary probe revealed that slapping confiscated must be supplied in the Narwana area.
The case against the defendant was registered and further investigation was underway.
