Punjab, Haryana, PGI hasn’t paid a down payment for upscale flats

Chandigarh: While the Chandigarh Housing Board (CHB) has been planning a top-class flat for government officials Haryana, Punjab and PGI in Rajiv Gandhi Chandigarh (Park) technology, the state government, UT and PGI government have not submitted official confirmation and 25% down payment to Board for their construction.
A senior CHB official said they were in touch with them all last year but no one filed a 25% down payment.
Even though Punjab and PGI have provided their affirmation, they still have not made any deposits, he added.
The source said the high cost of the tower that had a flat housing was a possible reason.
The housing council is expected to build 10 towers with 28 flats each has a base price of Rs 2 Crore for each flat.
All three institutions are expected to pay Hospital 66 Crore each for their flats.
This project will appear at 6.73 hectares of land.
In June, CHB officials had gave a presentation at Haryana Assembly to speaker Gian Chand Gupta, Chief Secretary of Viji Vardhan and Engineering Department officials.
The source said that Haryana is now meditating to build a flat in Panchkula.
CHB has planned to build luxury flats for officials and Mlaas Punjab and Haryana, and for PGI and Chandigarh administration.
To begin construction, CHB has been written last year for Punjab and Haryana and PGI due to releasing a 25% payment share.
In September 2019, CHB had searched for opinions from both governments.
Besides Punjab and Haryana, PGI also stated the willingness to buy a flat in the project.
