Chandigarh / Shimla: Punjab and Himachal Pradesh will hold a special session in September.
The Punjab Board of the Minister on Thursday decided to call the 15th Session of Oneday from the 15th Punjab Legislative Assembly on September 3, 2021, to commemorate the 400th Historic Parkash Purbas from the ninth Sikh Teacher, Tegut Teacher Timahadur.
In a meeting chaired by the chairman of Minister Amarinder Singh, the Cabinet approved a recommendation to the governor to summon the 15th session based on article 174 (1) India’s constitution.
President of RAM Nath Kovind will discuss the Special Session of the Himachal Pradesh Assembly on September 17 to commemorate the 50 years of state, said Vipin Singh Parmar’s home speaker on Thursday.
Notifications for holding special sessions were also issued by the HP government on Thursday.
Amarinder said he would invite Venkaah Naidu vice president, Governor of Punjab V P Badnore and former Prime Minister Dr.
Manchan Singh to a special session.
According to the spokesman for the office of the minister’s chairman, the session will begin with the reference Obituari at 10 am, followed by the birthday celebration of the 400th teacher of the Tegor Bahadur at 11 in the morning.
While interacting with media people at Shimla, the assembly speaker said that the President would discuss a special session on September 17 at 11 in the morning.
He said the Governor of Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, Chairman of Minister Jai Ram Thakur, opposition leader Mukesh Agnihotri, all cabinet ministers, MLA and former MLA will attend sessions.
He said the President would live in Shimla from September 16-20.
He said this third time a president would handle a special assembly session.
On December 23, 2004, the president was late APJ Abdul Kalam had discussed a special session and then President of the Mukherjee Pranab on May 24, 2013.
