Chandigarh: Shiromani Akali Dal (Sad) President Sukhbir Singh Badal on Friday said Punjab has lost investment in the last five years of Congress government due to the anti-industrial government policy of the state government.
He said the government had submitted the ‘investment punjab’ department and governance reform.
He added Punjab has been a victim of defamation of the Punjabis Party as a drug addict.
The sad president handles industrialist meetings at the Indian Industrial Confederation Office (CII) in Chandigarh, where the punjab unit presented Manifesto, ‘Make Punjab Future’.
CII Punjab Unit President Bhavdeep Sardana focuses on ensuring transparency in government function, digitizing, reducing the government-industry interfaces and ensuring government policy stability in its main address.
Sukhbir said he had initiated the agenda prepared by the Punjab CII unit in his last term, but the Congress government has been thrown away because the industrial investment climate is spoiled.
“How do you expect investors to invest in the state if the ruling party imitates himself by saying that 70% of them are drug addicts?” he says.
Sukhbir added that industrial beliefs have also been damaged by advanced references to the words “Khazana Khali” (empty coffers) by the Government of Congress and Top Minister.
The sad president ensured that the next government’s focus was with rapid development, education and health.
“We are committed to making integrated mega schools at the block level, besides making 500 bed hospitals in all districts,” he added.
Sad to announce 2 other candidates: sad on Friday announced two candidates for Punjab legislative legislature polls early next year.
Former MP Prem Singh Chandumajra will compete from the Ghanaur Assembly Chair in the Patiala district and the party sitting MLA Dillaj Singh Bhundar from the Sardulgarh constituency in Mansa Regency.
Chandumajra was not successfully contested by Lok Sabha 2019 from Anandpur Sahib.
Dilaraj is the son of Rajya members Sabha Balwinder Singh Bhundar.
Sad has announced 81 candidates, of a total of 97 seats where it will fight, until now.
Party Alliance Partners – Bahujan Party Summons – will fight for 20 seats left of the total assembly constituency of 117 in the state.
