CHANDIGARH: Punjab recorded 1,293 fresh Covid cases while 82 deaths were reported on Monday.
In the last 24 hours, nine deaths were reported in Bathinda, eight each in Patiala and Amritsar, six each in Ludhiana and Sangrur, five each in Fazilka and Mohali, four each in Muktsar, Pathankot and Kapurthala, three each in Ropar and Faridkot, two each in Barnala, Hoshiarpur, Gurdaspur, Moga and Mansa and one each in Ferozepur, Fatehgarh Sahib and Tarn Taran.
A total of 135 people tested positive in Ludhiana, 133 in Amritsar, 113 in Jalandhar, 88 in Bathinda, 86 in Hoshiarpur, 83 in Patiala, 74 in Mohali, 68 each in Gurdaspur and Muktsar, 55 in Faridkot, 49 each in Kapurthala and Mansa, 47 in Ferozepur, 46 in Sangrur, 38 in Ropar, 28 in Fatehgarh Sahib, 26 in Moga, 25 in Fazilka, 23 in Nawanshahr, 22 each in Pathankot and Tarn Taran and 15 in Barnala.
Also, 47,516 people were vaccinated across the state.
Of these, 44,027 were given the first shot and 3,489 received their second.
Three fresh cases of mucormycosis were also reported in the last 24 hours.
