Chandigarh: Punjab reported 27 deaths due to Covid and 7,849 new cases on Wednesday.
One old death was also added to the state calculation while the results of one case were changed from up to death.
Ludhiana recorded the highest of 1,325 cases, while 1,231 cases were reported in Mohali, 888 in Jalandhar, 643 in Amritsar, 418 in Patiala, 414 in Bathinda, 330 in Rundapur, 257 in Pathankot, 216 in Ferozepur, 179 in Nawanshahr, 163 in Muktsar, 158 in Fazilka, 149 in Kapurthala, 131 in Mansa, 123 in Sangrur, 116 in Tarn Taran, 115 in Fatehgarh Sahib, 90 in Barnal, 84 in Faridkot.
As many as 3.04,301 beneficiaries were given a vaccine dose, which 1.17,371 received their first dose and 1.77,461 received the second dose.
As many as 21,504 in the age group 15-17 also received their first dose in the state.
