Chandigarh: Punjab on Tuesday recorded 218 fresh Covid-19 cases that took the calculation of infection to 5,95,351 while 16 deaths more encouraged the death toll to 16,033.
In the last 24 hours, four people died in Amritsar, two of each in Bathinda, Ferozepur, Ludhiana and each in Barnala, Muktsar, Hoshiarpur, Mohali and Tarn Taran.
In Ludhiana, 24 people were tested positive while in Mohali 22 cases reported, 19 in Jalandhar, 18 in Faridkot, 17 in Amritsar, 15 each in Ferozepur and Hoshiarpur, 13 in Patiala, 12 each in Bathinda and Sangrur, eight in Fazilka, Muktsar and Pathankot, six in Tarn Taran, four each at Fatehgarh Sahib and Gurdaspur, three each in Mansa and Moga, two in Barnala, Kapurthala and Nawanshahr and one in Ropar.
In ongoing vaccination drive, 29,589 people vaccinated 23,485 which received the first dose and 6.104 given the second dose.
