CHANDIGARH/SHIMLA: Punjab reported 1,333 new cases of Covid-19 and 71 deaths on Thursday.
It also reported six fresh cases of mucormycosis in the last 24 hours.
In Haryana, 539 persons tested positive and 32 died in the last 24 hours.
Himachal Pradesh reported 15 Covid deaths and 533 positive cases on Thursday while 862 positive patients recovered.
In Punjab, nine people died of Covid-19 in Bathinda and six each in Amritsar and Muktsar, five each in Ludhiana and Patiala, four each in Mohali and Jalandhar, three each in Gurdaspur, Barnala, Moga, Sangrur and Barnala, two each in Fatehgarh Sahib, Fazilka, Hoshiarpur and Tarn Taran, and one each in Nawanshahr and Mansa.
Also152 fresh cases were reported in Jalandhar, 116 in Fazilka,115 in Amritsar, 86 in Patiala, 82 in Bathinda, 68 in Ferozepur, 66 in Gurdaspur, 60 in Mansa, 59 in Hoshiarpur, 54 in Pathankot, 51 in Muktsar, 49 in Mohali, 48 in Kapurthala, 44 in Sangrur, 40 in Faridkot, 30 in Moga, 25 in Ropar, 23 in Tarn Taran, 21 in Nawanshahr, 16 in Fatehgarh Sahib, and 15 in Barnala.
Of the day’s 26,465 vaccinations, 23,787 were first dose and 2,678 second.
Meanwhile in Haryana, 7,49,407 persons have been discharged after treatment and 6,365 cases are currently active.
The state has tested 94,32,102 persons till date.
Also, 1,22,371 persons were vaccinated on Thursday.
A total of 1,13,000 got their first dose and 9,371 persons received their second.
With this, 63,15,736 persons in the state have been vaccinated till date.
The recovery rate in the state is 98.01% and fatality rate is1.16%.
The total number of Covid-19 positive cases in the state has reached 7,64,633 while the total number of deaths has been recorded at 8,861 till date.
Himachal reported 1,97,438 total confirmed positive cases, of which 6,338 cases are active, 1,87,734 patients have recovered and 3,342 patients have died.
Five deaths have been reported from Kangra district, four from Mandi district while one death each has been reported from Chamba, Kullu, Shimla, Sirmaur, Solan and Una districts.
Positive cases reported include 29 from Bilaspur district, 86 from Chamba district, 41 from Hamirpur district, 66 from Kangra, 25 from Kinnaur, 28 from Kullu, four from Lahaul-Spiti, 100 from Mandi, 46 from Shimla, 43 from Sirmaur, 25 from Solan and 40 from Una.
Those who have recovered include 59 from Bilaspur, 73 from Chamba, 67 from Hamirpur, 153 from Kangra, 44 from Kinnaur, 38 from Kullu,15 from Lahaul-Spiti, 133 from Mandi, 119 from Shimla, 50 from Sirmaur, 29 from Solan and 82 from Una.
Bilaspur district has 187 active cases, Chamba has 725 active cases, Hamirpur has 531, Kangra has 1,374, Kinnaur has 175, Kullu has 348 active cases, Lahaul-Spiti has 70, Mandi has 918, Shimla has 716, Sirmaur has 354, Solan has 467 and Una has 473 active cases.
