Dhuri: Face Minister AAP Bhagwant Mann on Saturday submitted his nomination letter from the Dhuri assembly segment, said he hoped that people from this constituency would ensure victory for him with the largest margin in Punjab.
Mann was accompanied by his mother during the submission of nominated paper.
It’s time for writing history for the Dhuri assembly segment, Mann told reporters.
“I hope that the Dhuri people will make this chair win with the biggest margin in Punjab,” he said.
He further said the Dhuri people wanted to change and said he was happy that he had been nominated by his party from this assembly segment.
“Dhuri will be made a assembly constituency model,” he said.
Mann is MP twice of the parliamentary constituency of the Sangrur.
Dhuri is one of the constituencies of the assembly of the Sangrur Lok Sabha seat.
Replying to questions, Mann said corruption, unemployed, Mafia Raj, inflation was one of the main problems of the country.
Asked that his rival opponent accused him of being lost from this constituency, Mann said he lived in Dhuri and visited the villages of this constituency.
At present, Dhuri is represented by Congress Mla Dalvir Singh Goldy who is again looking for re-election from this chair.
Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) has reduced former Legislator Sangrur Parkash Chand Garg from this chair.
Voting for the assembly chair 117 Punjab will be held on February 20 and the vote count will take place on March 10.
