Chandigarh: Shiromani Akali Dal (Sanyukt), led by Rajya Sabha Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa, released the first list of 12 candidates for polls of the Punjab Assembly on Friday.
Sad (Sanyukt) was fighting for a poll in the Alliance with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Punjab Lok Congress (PLC), led by former Chief Minister of Captain Amarinder Singh.
However, it is not yet clear about how many names will be on the second list SAD (Sanyukt).
Dhindsa said, “There are no criteria for sharing a fixed seat and we focus only on candidates’ victory among alliance partners.” President of President Son Parminder Singh Dhindsa, Sitting MLA from Lehra, who has served as the Minister of Finance before in the SAD-BJP government, will fight its own constituency.
Other candidates from the Malwa region including former Lok Sunam members.
In the Philaur segment in Dolaba, Sad (Sanyukt) has decided to give a ticket to the family of former Sarwan Singh Philaur cabinet.
However, it is not yet clear whether the former Minister or his son Damave Singh will oppose the poll.
“Philaur Sahab said that his son would compete but people said that he had to fight for himself as a Stalwart.
It will also be decided,” said President Dhindsa.
Likewise, the party has lowered the Manjit Singh Dasuha from Urmar Sign and Jugrajpal Singh Sahi from Sultanpur Lodhi.
