Chandigarh: To achieve the target set by the Chairman of the Captain Amarinder Singh to provide government work to a young lakh youth in the state, the Punjab government will soon launch the Mega recruitment drive to fill empty posts in various departments.
Secretary Chief Vini Mahajan said all administrative departments must share empty direct quota posts with the generation of employment, skills development and the earliest training department to enable the launch of the second phase of the state work plan.
Given the meeting to review the State Employment Plan with the Administrative Secretary, Mahajan directed all heads of the department to speed up the process of sending the remaining vacancies in their respective departments to fill them to provide seamless and free service to the public.

Secretary, Labor Generation, Rahul Tiwari, provided the main secretary that 34 administrative departments had shared 22,441 direct quota vacancies for the second stage of the Punjab government recruitment plan, which exceeded 61,336 previous approved jobs by the Cabinet Committee.
Under the program generation of large state government, Ghar Ghar Rozgar and Karobar Mission, the Punjab Cabinet has agreed to the State Employment Plan on October 14, 2020, with a mandate to provide 1-lakh government work to young people who qualify besides giving a nodding.

In less than a year, the state government has been able to recruit 7,848 candidates who qualified in addition to starting the process of filling out 44,543 vacancies in various departments.
The main secretary also instructed all departments, councils and companies under the state government to ensure the implementation of e-office modules in their respective offices.
He said the use of the e-office system would not only save time but would also help in doing work in a way without paper.
