Bengaluru: Professional and his friends Chandrika K and Asiya P have full hands after three hours of shopping on Monday.
They have been waiting for retail therapy for more than five months.
“I’m not an online shopper and want to visit the mall,” Chandrika said.
Asiya agreed.
“We met each other after a long time and decided to shop together,” he said.
Both of them are among hundreds of Bengaluria people who travel to shopping centers when the mall reopens by opening 3.0.
Vega City Mall in Bannerghatta Road and Mall Forum on Hosur Road looked at encouraging steps.
They have a strict Covid-19 protocol at the entry point and in the complex.
An officer at a popular sports brand shop in Vega Mall said that more than 50 customers appeared on the first day.
“We see more people than we expected.
Items sold sell like hotcakes,” said the person.
The shop manager at the cosmetics store said that footsteps on Monday were far better than what after last year’s locking.
“We are known for cosmetics, but today, most customers are looking to buy body care products,” he added.
The group of young people gathered at the mall to catch up.
Although the food court is not fully open, shops that sell desserts and coffee are popular among groups.
Many say they can’t wait for the cinema to be reopened.
“It is very refreshing to see normal.
I hope we can return to the life period of our popcorn-munching film immediately,” said Shruthi Baskar.
Some malls and top-class brands do not see the rush of buyers they expect.
“The merchandise that we sell is expensive and few people are ready to spend their way before the kuncian,” said an employee from one brand like that.
Staff missed a shop colleague in the mall said that they missed their colleagues who died because of Covid-19 during the second wave.
When Tii visited a shop to talk to the manager, the staff informed that he had died.
“There are many staff members in different stores like this.
I don’t believe I opened the store today and he wasn’t here with us.
He was 30’s,” said a gasket.
Electronic stores lose salesperson.
“Almost every other shop has the same story.
It’s heartbreaking,” said an officer.

Sunil Munshi, Ave Operations, Orion Malls, said that fashion, beauty, health care and electronics attract many buyers.

(Vega City Mall), said that they saw footsteps 4,500 and that most buyers examine mode parts, home decor, cosmetics, electronics and hypermarkets.
