Bengaluru: Arcade rail that should appear at the Bengaluru KSR City Railway Station has been removed.
Responding to the request from MP Bengaluru Rural DK Suresh and Mandya MP Sumatha Ambaran, Union Minister Railway Ashwini Vaishnaw on Wednesday told Lok Sabha: “There are no proposals to establish ‘rail arcade’ at the Bengaluru KSR train station.
In August, Indian Railway Station Development Corporation (IRSDC) has floated tenders to organize and maintain the railroad arcade.
It wants to replicate the Quad concept by the BLR, the food & beverage area is open at Kempegowda International Airport, which also accommodates direct events.
In October, the center has decided to turn off the IRSDC .
IRSDC have kept the City Railway station KSR since February 2019.
It also has plans to take over and maintain several more stations, including Yeshwantpur, KR Puram and Bangarpet under the South Western Railway (SWR).
for other questions about why IRSDC closed, Vaishnaw said: “Activities conducted by the IRSDC and Rail Land Development Authority (RL DA) Under the identical development / development station program.
Because such needs feel that one of the two bodies must be identified as the only entity that functions and gives full responsibility.
Therefore, it was decided that the IRSDC was closed and the works assigned to the IRSDC was transferred to RLDA and zonal trains.
The train officer who works at the IRSDC is being adjusted to the Zone train and RLDA “he added.
