Mangaluru: The main resection of the right chest with lung parts, and reconstruction for recurrent chest wall tumors is carried out in a 33-year-old patient suffering from default disability, Mafucci syndrome, in the Yenepoya medical college hospital.

Therefore, our hospital tumor council conducted a discussion and decided to remove the tumor and part of the lungs -Paru right.
Taking this case is not an easy decision, because cancer involves the right chest and lung parts, and previously treated with surgery and radiation.
After a comprehensive evaluation, it was made to undergo complete tumor removal, which weighed around 2.5kg , along with nine ribs and part of the right lungs, around 15%, and then reconstruction of the chest wall as done by mesh plate and titanium, in the place of ribs, on August 31.
The operation lasts for more than 13 hours.
